Ira Mazzoni

Ira Diana Mazzoni (* 1960 in Wiesbaden ) is a German art historian , specialist journalist and architecture critic .

Life

Mazzoni studied art history , German and theater studies at the Universities of Mainz and Munich with a master's degree . Today she works as a freelance journalist, writing articles for the features section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung , the Zeit and the taz , for the art magazine art as well as various art history, architecture and construction journals, e.g. B. the Deutsche Bauzeitung (db). She is also a freelance writer and has published several books. One of the main topics of Mazzoni is building culture and monument protection . Leandro Mazzoni (†) mostly contributed the photographs for her publications. In 2004, Ira Mazzoni was awarded the Journalist Prize of the German Monument Protection Prize by the German National Committee for Monument Protection , and in 2011 with the DAI Literature Prize . Mazzoni was a member of the Scientific Commission of the German Foundation for Monument Protection .
