Isert coat of arms
Blazon : "In red and silver division above a golden , day- lit two-storey house with a central door over three steps and five surrounding windows with cross-shaped bars and window sills as well as a rising uneducated sun on the right and a golden, blue - tipped leopard head on the top left, a black one below Hammer and a black clearing hoe crossed diagonally. "
Foundation of the coat of arms: The lower half with hammer and clearing hoe expresses the name of the local community in a talking coat of arms , which can be traced back to existing iron deposits and to the foundation as medieval clearing. The house in the upper half with the sun stands for the school in Isert, which, as a house in the sun, was a reform pedagogical trial site for the reform of schools in the Weimar Republic . The sun also stands for the harvest and at the same time for agriculture in Isert. The leopard head above the school is borrowed from the coat of arms of the Counts of Sayn and refers to the fact that the local community belongs to the county of Sayn and Sayn-Altenkirchen. The tinging expresses the territorial affiliation of the local community of Isert through the colors red and gold for Sayn and silver and black for Prussia .
