Jack Hedley (* 28. October 1930 as Jack Hawkins in London , England ) is a British actor .

Life

Hedley changed his name early in his career to avoid confusion with the actor Jack Hawkins . In the late 1950s he had first guest roles in British television series; He made his feature film debut in 1958 at the side of Michael Redgrave and Vanessa Redgrave in Behind the Mask . He starred in the war film The Longest Day and had an uncredited role in David Leans Lawrence of Arabia . Fans of the James Bond series will know Hedley as Sir Timothy Havelock from James Bond 007 . In 1982 he got the lead role in the Italian crime film The New York Ripper by director Lucio Fulci .
