Jaime Ray Newman
Jaime Ray Newman (born April 2, 1978 in Farmington Hills , Michigan ) is an American actress .
Life
Newman attended Boston University and Northwestern University and received her artistic training at Interlochen Music and Arts Camp. There she took on leading roles several times in plays that were performed during summer events.
Before her breakthrough in the General Hospital hospital series in the early 2000s , she performed as a jazz singer. She has her own combo with the soul-funk-rock band "School Boy Crush", with whom she performs around Los Angeles .
In addition to her television work and her work as a musician, Newman has also played theater since she was 13.
In 2019 she and Guy Nattiv received the Oscar in the Best Short Film for Skin category .
