Jakob Hlasek , also Jakub Hlasek (born November 12, 1964 in Prague , then Czechoslovakia ) is a former Swiss tennis player .

Career

Hlasek won five singles and 20 doubles tournaments in his career. In 1989 he achieved his best ratings in the ATP world rankings with position 7 in singles and 4 in doubles.

Hlasek won the 1992 French Open with his compatriot Marc Rosset , reached the final of the Davis Cup with the Swiss team , in which they were defeated by the USA , and won the Hopman Cup with Manuela Maleewa . At the 1992 Olympics , he was eliminated from the quarter-finals with doubles partner Rosset. In 1996 he won the World Team Cup in Düsseldorf with the Swiss team .

Private

Jakob Hlasek was married to Mara for the first time. Half a year after the divorce in 1999, he married Nathalie, with whom he has three children. The couple has lived separately since December 2009. Hlasek lives in Blonay in the canton of Vaud .
