James Bord (* 1981 in Stanmore , London ) is a British poker player from England . He won in 2010 , the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe .

Poker career

Bord has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2008 .

Bord was successful for the first time in June 2008 at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and cashed in tournaments in the variants No Limit Hold'em and Omaha Hi / Lo . In September 2010 he won the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe in London for a bracelet and a prize of around £ 830,000 . In mid-October 2010, Bord also won the Poker Cup in Marrakech for a further US $ 247,000 . In May 2011, he placed in the money at the main event of the European Poker Tour and finished the tournament in Madrid in 85th place for 15,000 euros in prize money. At the 2013 WSOP , Bord was successful for the first time in the main event and finished in 452nd place. In mid-October 2016, Guy Laliberté invited him to the Big One for One Drop Extravaganza , an exclusive poker tournament in Monte-Carlo with a buy-in of one million euros. There Bord reached the final table and for his fourth place received his highest prize money to date of 2.1 million euros. Since then, it has not had another live cash placement to date.

In total, Bord has earned more than $ 4 million in poker live tournaments.
