Johannes "Jojo" van den Bergh (born November 21, 1986 in Viersen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German soccer player who is currently under contract with the second division Holstein Kiel . He plays preferably in left midfield , but he can also be defensive act as a left-back.

Life

Johannes van den Bergh was born in Viersen and grew up in Schwalmtal . According to his own statements, he has Dutch ancestors in the great-great realm .

His brother Lukas played for Fortuna Düsseldorf II from 2007 to 2010 and for Wuppertaler SV until July 2012 .

Career

youth

Van den Bergh moved from SC Waldniel to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1996 as a nine-year-old and, with a two-and-a-half-year break at Bayer 04 Leverkusen (from July 1999 to December 2001) played all of Gladbach's youth teams . During the 2006/07 season van den Bergh took part in the professional training for the first time.

Borussia Monchengladbach

On September 16, 2006 he gave his premiere in the Bundesliga . In the game at Alemannia Aachen (2-4) he was substituted on in the second half. He made his debut in the starting XI and also in the 2nd Bundesliga on September 17, 2007 in a 3-2 win in Aue . For him, Marvin Compper came on in the 72nd minute . On November 20, 2007 Johannes van den Bergh received a professional contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach , which was dated to June 30, 2010. In the 2007/08 season, which ended with immediate promotion, he came to eight second division appearances. Fortuna Dusseldorf

For the 2009/10 season van den Bergh moved to the second division Fortuna Düsseldorf . With this club he rose to the 2012/13 season in the Bundesliga on. Van den Bergh was able to assert himself immediately as a regular player and has played more than 100 Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga games for the Fortunes .

Hertha BSC

After van den Bergh was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with Düsseldorf, he switched to Hertha BSC in the 2013/14 season . He signed a three-year contract with the capital club until June 30, 2016.

Getafe CF.

At the end of June 2016, he signed a two-year contract with Spanish club Getafe , which was relegated from the Primera División at the end of the 2015/16 season .

SpVgg Greuther Fürth

At the end of the 2016/17 winter transfer window, he switched to SpVgg Greuther Fürth on loan for the rest of the season .

Holstein Kiel

With the end of the transfer phase, at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, the change to Holstein Kiel was announced.
