Phil Yannik Neumann (born July 8, 1997 in Herten ) is a German soccer player . He has been under contract with Holstein Kiel since the 2019/20 season .

Career

In the club

On July 29, 2017, Neumann made his debut for FC Ingolstadt 04 in the 2nd Bundesliga when he started the season against 1. FC Union Berlin . In the 66th minute he was replaced by Florent Hadergjonaj . The game ended 1-0 for Berlin. He scored his first professional goal in the 2-2 draw against MSV Duisburg on November 3, 2018, the 12th matchday of the 2018/19 season.

After Ingolstadt's relegation from the second division, he joined Holstein Kiel for the 2019/20 season . The defender received a contract valid until June 2022.

National team

Neumann is a former DFB junior national player. He took part in the 2016 European Championship with the German U19 team. He played with the U20 national team at the 2017 U20 World Cup in South Korea .
