John M. Mendinhall
John Marshall Mendinhall ( September 30, 1861 , † 1938 ) was an American politician . Between 1909 and 1913 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Delaware .
Career
There are hardly any usable sources about John Mendinhall. Neither his place of birth nor his place of death have been recorded. Nothing is known about his school education or his career beyond politics. What is certain is that he lived in the state of Delaware for at least some time and was a member of the Republican Party . In 1908 he was elected lieutenant governor of Delaware at the side of Simeon S. Pennewill . He held this office between January 19, 1909 and January 21, 1913. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he no longer appeared politically. He was buried in Wilmington .
