John Vickery
John Estill Vickery (born November 4, 1950 in Alameda , California ) is an American actor .
Life
Vickery was born in Alameda and raised in Oakland . Even in high school , someone took on a role in a production of Shakespeare 's What You Want . He first studied mathematics at the University of California, Davis . After graduating, he studied acting in London . Since the early 1980s he has appeared in numerous feature films, television films and television series. He gained greater fame in the 1990s through recurring appearances in three Star Trek series ( Spaceship Enterprise - The Next Century , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise ) as well as in Babylon 5 and its offshoot Crusade .
Vickery has also been a stage actor since the early 1980s. He has performed in New York City , Los Angeles , Costa Mesa and Stratford (Ontario) , among others . He often took on roles in classic Shakespeare plays. Between 1997 and 2003 he played Scar in the musical adaptation of The Lion King in performances in New York, Minneapolis and Los Angeles .
Vickery has a daughter.
