Jorge Leitão Ramos
Jorge Henrique Leitão Ramos (* 1952 in Odivelas ) is a Portuguese film critic and historian .
Career
Leitão Ramos graduated from the Instituto Superior Técnico with a degree in electrical engineering in 1975 and teaches electrical engineering at the Escola Secundária Marquês de Pombal in Lisbon. He began working as a film critic in 1975 for the weekly Expresso . He continued his reviews at Jornal Novo (1975 to 1976) and at Diário de Lisboa (1976 to 1988). Since 1988 he has been a permanent employee of the Expresso . He also worked for the radio and television programs of the RTP . From 1980 onwards he also wrote television reviews.
He is the author of the three-volume dictionary on Portuguese films. He is also President of the Finance Council of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores , the Portuguese rights management company .
