Life

Koree comes from Düren . As a child he took piano lessons before he came into contact with musicians like Public Enemy or Ice-T in his youth and discovered his love for rap music. He bought a four-track device and a keyboard with an integrated sampler in order to then produce and rap independently under the name Monstah Koree . At the time, the text was based on street rap.

After Koree a half-year course at the SAE Cologne had occupied and parallel to a lot of knowledge of audio engineering autodidact had worked, he studied Media Economics in Cologne. Accompanying his thesis in 2005 he founded his first label Forensik Records , which he dissolved again in 2007. Shortly thereafter, Koree launched the Assazeen label with Ercandize . Among other things, he was responsible for the recordings of the Lakmann mixtape All in . On the part of Ercandize, however, Koree described this collaboration as "without plan or ambition". He then went to London for half a year , where he worked in a DVD production company. Following his stay in London, Koree returned to Germany. In Essen he worked for a television production for two years before he decided to only work in the music industry .

In 2011 Koree took over the studio space of the Bilk Bass Studios from Benz Reibach in Düsseldorf and turned it into Homeboy Studios. In 2012 Koree produced the album HRNSHN by the 257ers, in 2013 Jung, Brutal, Gutaussehend 2 by Kollegah and Farid Bang. The latter reached gold status shortly after its release . From then on, all Selfmade Records productions by Koree were recorded in Homeboy Studios and mixed by Yunus "Kingsize" Cimen, who was still working in his own studio in Cologne at the time, but after a short trip to TrueBusyness in Berlin to Düsseldorf returned and worked at Homeboy Studios.

As of 2013, Koree, Kingsize and producer Alexis Troy offered full music productions as United Hustlers . Alexis Troy took care of the composition, Kingsize did the mixing and mastering and Koree took care of the management . In this constellation, Koree produced his solo albums #UDED (2014) and Frei (2015) as part of the YouTube formats Release Day and Release Day 2 .

Koree has been a back-up rapper at Kollegah since 2014 and accompanies him on his performances and tours . In addition to music production, Koree was also active in the moderation area and, in cooperation with the platform hiphop.de, took over the moderation of the YouTube format Business Insider . For this purpose, Koree conducted interviews with people from the music industry and gave insights behind the scenes in various areas such as publishing , sales , booking and artist management. In 2016 he dissolved United Hustlers , moved the Homeboy Studios to new premises and founded the label Greatness Music, through which he published the album Films by the Düsseldorf artist Flaze.

In February 2018, Koree's new album Maschine is to be released, the process of which will be documented on Release Day 3 .
