The Lassalledenkmal was a memorial for Ferdinand Lassalle in the 20th district of Brigittenau in Vienna .

history

In 1928 the sculptor Mario Petrucci created a memorial in memory of the socialist politician Ferdinand Lassalle. The obelisk-shaped monument was crowned by a bronze representation of Lassalle's head and was located in front of the Winarskyhof municipal building at Winarskystrasse 15-21. In 1936 it was demolished by the Austrofascists and finally destroyed. A replica of the monument head in the form of a bust was located at Alfred-Porges-Hof in the 6th district before it was added to the permanent exhibition Das Rote Wien in the laundromat in Karl-Marx-Hof .
