Lena Dörrie (born July 15, 1982 in Nuremberg ) is a German actress and radio play speaker .

biography

Lena Dörrie was born in Nuremberg in 1982 . She took ballet lessons from the age of 5 and later played in the theater group at her school. After graduating from Willstätter-Gymnasium in 2001 , she went to Munich in 2002 to study drama at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding . During her 2nd year of study she was engaged at the Bavarian State Theater, where she remained a permanent member of the ensemble until 2007. She played in numerous productions and was awarded the Kurt-Meisel-Förderpreis and the Förderpreis des Münchner Merkurs as the best young actress in 2006.

In film and television, she first played in series such as Der Alte and Tatort , until she received her first leading role in the Swiss-German coproduction Im Sog der Nacht in 2008 alongside Stipe Erceg and Nils Althaus . The film premiered in 2009 at the Max Ophüls Festival in Saarbrücken and the Zurich Film Festival . In the same year she became a member of the ensemble of the comedy series Ladykracher , which was awarded the German Comedy Prize in 2009, 2010 and 2011 . In 2011 the format also won the German Television Award for "Best Comedy".

The short film Zwei Zimmer Balkon by director Enno Reese, in which Dörrie plays one of the leading roles, was released in 2010 a. a. awarded the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Prize.

Lena Dörrie lives in Berlin . She is not related to the director Doris Dörrie .
