Leo Greiml (born July 3, 2001 in Horn ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Greiml started his career at SV Horn . In 2014 he came to AKA St. Pölten . For the 2018/19 season he moved to SK Rapid Vienna . In August 2018 he made his debut for the Rapid Amateurs in the Regionalliga when he started against SV Schwechat on matchday four of that season .

In November 2018 he was against Wolfsberger AC for the first time in the squad of the professionals from Rapid, but was not used. In May 2019 he received a contract with Rapid that runs until June 2022. In the same month he made his debut for the professionals when he came on in the 27th minute for Mario Sonnleitner in the final first leg of the Europa League playoff against SK Sturm Graz . In the game that Rapid lost 2-1, Greiml owed a penalty and also scored the winning goal for Sturm with an own goal.

National team

Greiml played for an Austrian youth national team for the first time in February 2017. In September 2017 he made his debut against Belgium for the U-17 team .

In March 2019 he made his first appearance for the U-18 selection against Georgia .
