Notes on the information in the tables

  • In the column Description and notes on the history , the name (if known) of the monument, a short description, if necessary the material and information on the implementation and changes are given.
  • The current installation site is given as the location and, as far as possible, the street. Reference points (e.g. prominent buildings) are also mentioned here. The column is sortable.
  • The artist who created the monument is named in the Artist column . No artist is named for machines or for works without a great deal of creative effort (e.g. boulders), instead a horizontal line “-” is given.
  • In the columns Date of erection and Date of removal , the times are given when the monument was originally erected or finally removed. The tilde "~" in front of the date indicates that it is an approximation. The column is sortable.
  • If the artist , the date of installation and, in the case of the former monuments, the date of removal are not known, the word "unknown" is entered. The column is sortable.
