The integration of the S-Bahn into the Vienna railway system

This list of the Vienna S-Bahn stations shows all relevant information about the train stations and stops of the Vienna S-Bahn , including their special features, possible sights and important points of Vienna in their immediate vicinity. Those stations are listed which are located in the core zone VIENNA of the Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region . This also includes the Gerasdorf , Kledering , Purkersdorf Sanatorium and Schwechat stations , which are already in Lower Austria .

All Vienna passenger stations and stops are served by the S-Bahn. Many S-Bahn stations are served by regional or regional express trains at the same time . Fourteen train stations are linked to the underground , the train stations Hauptbahnhof , Meidling , Westbahnhof and Hütteldorf are also served by long-distance trains. There is also a connection to the Vienna – Baden local railway at the Meidling and Matzleinsdorfer Platz stations .

The names of all S-Bahn or ÖBB stations located in Vienna begin with Vienna in the passenger information of ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG . This part of the name is not used for the underground stations.

1. ↑ Kursbuch 1901, but no longer an official map of 1922. Today's Unter-Purkersdorf station existed in 1872 as the only station in the town at that time, and was called Purkersdorf in 1901 and 1922; Purkersdorf-Gablitz was called Purkersdorf Kellerwiese in 1901 and Purkersdorf Ort in 1922
