The Pakistan Olympic Association was founded in 1948 and accepted by the International Olympic Committee that same year .

Medals balance

So far, 90 athletes from Pakistan have won 10 Olympic medals (3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze). One bronze medal was won in wrestling (1960) and in boxing (1988). The national hockey team won all other medals.
