Marc Hosemann (born August 20, 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German actor .

Life

After earning his living as a postman, among other things, Hosemann completed an acting training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg and at the École internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris from 1993 to 1996 .

He made his film debut in 1994 with a small role as a policeman in The Brainless Woman . This was followed by guest appearances in television series such as Everything but Mord and SOKO 5113 . He played his first leading role in a film in 1998 alongside Heike Makatsch and Moritz Bleibtreu in Detlev Buck's Love Your Neighbor! . The following year he took on the leading role in the movie Long Hello & Short Goodbye by Rainer Kaufmann , who also cast him in the television productions Die Kirschenkönigin (2004), The best is only to come (four-part series since 2008) and I want you (2014).

Hosemann drew international attention to himself with the film Investigating Sex (2001), in which he can be seen alongside Dermot Mulroney , Neve Campbell and Nick Nolte .

He also appears in the theater. He was involved in pieces such as Mother Courage and Berlin Alexanderplatz . From 2002 until its dissolution in 2017, he was part of the Volksbühne Berlin ensemble under Frank Castorf with interruptions .
