Marek Henryk Zybura (born July 5, 1957 in Nisko , southern Poland ) is a Polish German studies specialist , literary historian , university professor and editor .

After graduating from the Liceum in Nisko, Marek Zybura studied German language and literature and art history from 1976 to 1980 at the University of Breslau and the University of Vienna . From 1981 to 1989 he was employed as a research assistant at the Institute of German Philology at the University of Wroclaw. In 1989 he received his doctorate with the dissertation The literary mediator role of Ludwig Tiecks as a translator and editor. His contribution to the early romantic idea of ​​world literature at the University of Breslau for a doctorate (Dr. phil.). Marek Zybura edited epistolographs , monographs and literary biographies on Gustav Freytag , Theodor Molinari (1803–1867), Otto Forst de Battaglia , Reiner Kunze , Hubert Orłowski , Tadeusz Różewicz , Witold Gombrowicz , Czesław Miłosz , Rainer Maria Rilke and Heinrich Kunstmann .
