Martin Bredenbeck
Martin Bredenbeck (* 1977 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German art historian with a focus on architecture and urban planning from the 19th to the 21st century.
Life
Bredenbeck studied philosophy, medieval and modern history, classical archeology and art history at the University of Bonn . There he was in 2011 with a thesis on the future of religious buildings in the Rhineland to Dr. phil. doctorate , which was awarded the Paul Clemen Prize . He teaches the history of art and architecture at the University of Bonn and the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden .
From 2011 to 2016 Bredenbeck worked as a scientific consultant at the Federation of Homeland and Environment in Germany in Bonn. From June 2016 to 2019 he was full-time managing director of the Rhenish Association for Monument Preservation and Landscape Protection . Bredenbeck is also a co-founder of the online culture magazine ModerneREGIONAL . He lives in Koblenz .
