Martin Witz (* 1956 in Zurich ) is a Swiss director and screenwriter of feature films and documentaries for cinema and television.

Life

After studying German , European folk literature and journalism , he co-founded the video store in Zurich and worked there himself until 1982. Since then, Martin Witz has been touring Switzerland and Germany as a freelance filmmaker.

He also works as a film editor and dramaturge, mostly for documentaries in the fields of history, politics and art.

After making documentaries for television, Dutti the Giant was his first directorial work for the cinema.
