Martin Ziemer (born April 14, 1983 in Rostock ) is a German handball goalkeeper .

Ziemer began with handball in the youth of HC Empor Rostock . From there he moved to SC Magdeburg in 2000 at the age of 17 , in whose Bundesliga team he played from 2001 to 2004. Then Martin Ziemer went to SV Anhalt Bernburg for two years and then to the then second division ASV Hamm , with whom he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 2010.

In the 2010/11 season, ASV Hamm played in a sports community with Ahlener SG as HSG Ahlen-Hamm in the Bundesliga. After economic problems arose, Martin Ziemer switched to HBW Balingen-Weilstetten on February 3, 2011, and received a contract there until June 30, 2012. From the 2012/13 season he played at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf . In the summer of 2019 he joined the Füchsen Berlin . For the 2020/21 season he moved to HC Erlangen .

Martin Ziemer has been part of the German national team since April 2011 , and he played his first international match against Norway on April 16, 2011 .

He broke off a sport and philosophy course he had started.
