The SAGA Insurance Masters 2008 was a snooker tournament that took place in London from January 13th to 20th, 2008 .

It was traditionally played among the best 16 players in the world snooker rankings . In addition, there was a qualifying tournament among the lower-seeded players, the Masters Qualifying Event , which was won by Barry Hawkins . Marco Fu also received a wildcard, so that a total of 18 participants were at the start.

In the final there was a duel between the two Englishmen Mark Selby and Stephen Lee . Selby was able to prevail with 10: 3 and won his first Masters title.
