Matej Falat (born February 8, 1993 in Bojnice ) is a Slovak ski racer . He starts in all disciplines. His greatest achievement is winning the silver medal in the team competition of the 2017 World Cup .

biography

Falat took part in FIS races from December 2008 . With a total of five participations in Junior World Championships, a 16th place was his best result. He made his debut in the World Cup on February 26, 2011 in the super combination of Bansko . So far, however, he has never made it into the World Cup points. In the European Cup and in the Nor-Am Cup he achieved a top 10 result each. Falat took part in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and finished 42nd in the Super-G. He has won three medals in three winter Universiade participations : 2015 silver in slalom and bronze in super combination, 2017 bronze in combination.

In 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and in 2013 in Schladming , Falat took part in world championships. He was also called up for the 2017 World Cup in St. Moritz . At the team competition there , he surprisingly won the silver medal.
