Mircea Monroe (born March 11, 1982 in St. Louis , Missouri ) is an American actress .

life and career

Monroe was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Her father worked for the United Nations and was stationed in Solomon Islands and Fiji and therefore spent part of her childhood in the South Pacific . In childhood, the family did not have a television or radio. After moving to Michigan and Virginia several times , she settled in Los Angeles to begin an acting career. In September 2004, she was on the cover of US magazine Maxim .

She had her first role in 2004 in the action film Final Call - If He Hangs Up, She Must Die , starring Kim Basinger , directed by David R. Ellis . In it she played a friend of Jessica Biel's role. The following year, she played a prostitute with Susan Ward in the comedy Wild X-Mas , with Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart in the lead roles. The roles of the prostitutes were not featured in the credits. In the sequel to House of the Dead , a horror film by Michael Hurst , she played the role of Sarah Curtis . As a reporter in the park, she stood in front of the camera in the thriller The Contract . In 2007 she received the role of Ellie Laird in the series Drive for six episodes before she had a guest appearance each on an episode on Scrubs and Rules of Engagement . In 2008 she got the role of Maya in Dave Payne's horror film No Man's Land: The Rise of Reeker . She was seen as Isabella Tyler in two episodes of the American CBS series Without a Trace . In the same year she played the role of diver Kimi Milligan in the direct-to-DVD production Into the Blue 2 - Das goldene Riff . The film is a sequel to Into the Blue with Paul Walker and Jessica Alba . In the video game adaptation Tekken , an American- Japanese co-production, she played the fighter Kara . In the comedy The Super-Bad Movie - 41 Years and a Virgin , Monroe played the leading role in Sarah Marshall . She acted the character Tatiana in As changed , starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman , Leslie Mann and Olivia Wilde . In Steven Soderbergh's drama Magic Mike , loosely based on the experiences of leading actor Channing Tatum , who worked as a stripper in Tampa , Florida at the age of 19 , Monroe played the wife of Matthew Bomer's character. In the same year she played alongside Bomer in an episode of the American crime series White Collar .
