Nierbachtal

Nierbachtal (until 1975 Grimlinghausen ) is part of the municipality of Bestwig . On June 30, 2012 Nierbachtal had 32 inhabitants. The place is on the L 915 and on the Nierbach .

history

The village of Nierbachtal was called Grimlinghausen until 1975. As part of the municipal reorganization , there were two places with this name in the municipality of Bestwig. For this reason, the place was renamed Nierbachtal.

Baron Carl von Lüninck zu Ostwig acquired the Humpert farm in the village in 1822. In 1827 von Lüninck exchanged the former Schultenhof in what was then Grimlinghausen for the Kemper Gut zu Ostwig, which belonged to the Schulten zu Grimlinghausen.

On June 10, 2007, after a heavy downpour in Nierbachtal, flooding occurred , with ditches, access roads and some buildings being flooded. Trapped people therefore had to be rescued from the upper floors by the volunteer fire brigade .

economy

In the place there is a large loading area, an inn and a planting hall.
