Noelle Quinn (born January 3, 1985 in Los Angeles , California , United States ; from FIBA as Noel Quinn) is a professional American - Bulgarian basketball player. In 2016 she played for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association and for the Italian team DIKE Napoli .

Career

college

Noelle Quinn played for the women's basketball team at the University of California in Los Angeles until 2007 .

Women's National Basketball Association

Noelle Quinn was selected fourth in the 2007 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx . On the same day, Lindsey Harding , who was selected in the first place in the WNBA Draft 2007, was transferred to the Lynx. This transfer did not get Quinn much playing time in the 2007 season, as Harding plays in the same position as Quinn. It was only when Harding had to take a break for a long time during the season due to an injury that she played from the start and thus got more playing time. Quinn played very well during this period and set a new franchise record with 14 assists in the final game of the season. Quinn was able to secure the place in the starting lineup in the 2008 season against Harding through these strong performances . Before the 2009 season, she moved to the Los Angeles Sparks team . This season Quinn reached the Conference Finals with her team, but they were narrowly lost. After she mostly played as a substitute in the first season, she was in the starting line-up of the Sparks in all 34 games of the season in 2010 . This season Quinn set up many personal bests, which she could not improve in the further course of her career. Already in the 2011 season , most of the statistical values of her declined. The 2012 season she played for the Washington Mystics team . Before the 2013 season, she moved to the Seattle Storm team . Also in the two seasons in Seattle their game shares continued to decrease. The 2015 season she played for the Phoenix Mercury team . Here she was only in one season game in the starting line-up, but together with the team she was able to reach the Conference Finals for the second time in her WNBA career. After playing for Phoenix at the beginning of the 2016 season , she switched back to the Seattle Storm team as part of a trade during the season. 2016 was Quinn's first year in the WNBA without a start.

Europe

Like many WNBA players, Quinn plays regularly in Europe during the WNBA season break. Since 2008 she has been on the field for teams from Lithuania, Russia, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic and Italy. She last played for the Italian club DIKE Neapel in the 2015/16 season .

National team

After she was not considered in the US national team , she accepted the offer of the Bulgarian association and has been playing for the Bulgarian national team since 2009 . Her first assignment for Bulgaria was in the qualification for the 2009 European Women's Basketball Championship .
