The 1999/2000 OHL season was the 20th season of the Ontario Hockey League . The Plymouth Whalers won the Hamilton Spectator Trophy as the best points team of the regular season . The play-offs began on March 25, 2000 and ended with the first win of the J. Ross Robertson Cup for the Barrie Colts on May 16, 2000, which prevailed in the final against the Plymouth Whalers.
