Patrick "Pat" Jarrett (born February 6, 1984 in Sault Ste. Marie , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player . In 2006 he won the German championship with Eisbären Berlin from the German Ice Hockey League . Most recently he was under contract with the Löwen Frankfurt . His brother Cole Jarrett is also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
Jarrett began his career in 1998 at Soo Thunder before moving to the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League for the Mississauga Ice Dogs in the 2000/01 season. There, the offensive player was one of the best scorers and scored 66 points in a total of 80 league games . Shortly before the end of the 2001/02 season, he joined the league competitor Owen Sound Attack , for whom he laced the skates over the next five years. During this time he reached the Conference quarter -finals twice with his club and the semifinals during his final season in Owen Sound . During the NHL Entry Draft 2002 he was selected by the Nashville Predators in the fifth round in a total of 138th position.
Due to the performances shown in the OHL, those responsible for the Eisbären Berlin became aware of the then 21-year-old and signed Jarrett in the summer of 2005. With the Eisbären he won the German championship of 2006 . After his contract at the end of the 2006/07 season was not extended, the Canadian-born left Berlin and moved back to North America, where he then for the farm team of the Los Angeles Kings , the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League , went onto the ice.
The left-handed shooter was unable to prevail among the Monarchs and has since been used in their farm team in the ECHL at the Reading Royals . After one year of involvement in the AHL and the ECHL, he forced another move to Europe and finally signed a contract with the Nordsjælland Cobras from the highest Danish ice hockey league , the AL-Bank Ligaen, for the 2008/09 season . In May 2009 he moved back to Germany and was signed by the Dresdner Eislöwen from the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga . With the Eislöwen he scored 64 goals and 163 assists in 196 games over the next four years.
In the 2013/14 season Jarrett played for the Dornbirn EC in the EBEL and was captain there. He then returned to the second German division and was signed by EV Landshut .
