Ruben Cossani was a German band from Hamburg . It was founded at the end of 2006 and existed until 2012.
history
In November 2006 Michel van Dyke , longtime solo artist and producer, composer and arranger (among others for Echt , Jasmin Wagner , Patrick Nuo and Fury in the Slaughterhouse ) heard his soccer teammate Konrad Wissmann sing for the first time. Both decided to not only play together on the football field from now on.
A little later both met the singer and drummer Leonard Valentin Lazar. Together the three wrote, composed and rehearsed and founded the band Casino. The name Casino was already taken and so the band name Ruben Cossani was born. In the same year the trio signed with the 105music label , which u. a. also has Stefan Gwildis , Ina Müller and Annett Louisan under contract. Ruben Cossani gave the first test concerts in the Hamburg area.
On February 15, 2008, the first single Compassion was released. Her debut album Daily Landscape was released on February 29, 2008.
After various live concerts (including support from Ina Müller ) and a few television and radio appearances, the three dared to experiment in September 2008: As in the early 60s, as bands like the then still unknown Beatles from clubs like the Star Club and were signed to the Kaiserkeller for a whole week, Ruben Cossani played for a week in the recently reopened Club Atlantic Hamburg with changing guest stars such as Regy Clasen , Ingo Pohlmann , Kim Frank , Annett Louisan , Stefan Gwildis , Bernd Begemann and Diane Weigmann .
On February 6, 2009 the single Bis auf last Nacht was released , with which Ruben Cossani competed in the fifth Bundesvision Song Contest for Schleswig-Holstein on February 13 and took 8th place. In May and September 2009 the Hamburg trio appeared as the opening act for Sasha . The band received the music award of the Association of German Concert Directors in 2009.
At the end of January 2010, the band announced that Leo Lazar had left the band. The new band member was called Alexander Jezdinsky. The premiere in this new constellation took place on February 8, 2010 at Hamburg Sounds. In November 2011 the band announced their breakup on their homepage and a few days later on Facebook. The band played the last concert on March 27, 2012 in Hamburg in the almost sold-out Fliegende Bauten .
