Sacré-Coeur Church, Basel

The church Sacre Coeur is a Roman Catholic church building in Basel Quartier Am Ring (Feierabendstrasse 68). It was built in 1956 by the Basel architects Guerino Belussi and Raymond Tschudi for the French-speaking Catholics.

The glass pictures were created in 1986 by the Freiburg painter Yoki .

The large, crossless bronze Christ by Georges Schneider from the year the church was built is executed in a way that differs greatly from traditional iconography , which initially caused some believers to protest.

A wooden collar protects the tower in need of renovation from falling parts.
