Shuko (* 1981 in Mainz ; bourgeois Christoph Bauss ) is a German hip-hop - and Pop - Composer and - producer .

biography

Since the beginning of the 2000s, the MC and producer has made a name for himself nationally and internationally through numerous remixes and productions. First of all through beats, with which Shuko supplies a whole range of MCs from Europe and the USA, then increasingly through successful pop productions.

At the end of 2003, the first major release appeared together with Doujah Raze and the DJ Mr. Sinista on the Maxi The Dedication , which was released on the New York music label Trilogy Records . This was followed by the Outerspace album and the single Top Shelf feat. Sadat X , who made it to the top of the college radio charts in the United States.

In Germany he started in 2004 with the first German publication Für Was? on the EP K-Rings Zone from K.RINGS ( Peripherique Records ). In the same year he was signed by Peripherique Publishing , a publisher from odenwald .

In 2005 he released his mixtape Endlich (Street Tape / Peripherique Records) on the street label , on which he picked up the microphone himself and impressed with features by Franky Kubrick , Nico Suave and many others. In November 2005, Shuko won the “iStandard Producer Contest” in New York and thus achieved popularity in the US scene at the latest.

In 2006 his producer mixtape The Foundation (Peripherique) appeared, on which several American MCs participate (including RA The Rugged Man , Talib Kweli , Rakim , Saigon , Army of the Pharaohs , ODB ). He produces beats for Azad for his album Game Over , among others , for Franky Kubrick's CD Mein Moneyfest , Peripheriques Zimmer 101 and G-Hots Aggrogant .

In 2007 Shuko was involved in the work on the album by American rapper Keith Murray . The album then went to number 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 . Furthermore, the producer album The Unbeatablez was released in 2007 on the Bozz-Music label . On this the producers Shuko, Sti, Brisk Fingaz and Phrequincy present instrumentals. Shuko has been working on the publications of the rapper Seryoga since 2008 .

His beats have appeared on albums by Cro , Casper , Sido , Dendemann , Kollegah , (D), Omarion , Tyga , Bow Wow , T-Pain , Talib Kweli , Keith Murray , Vinnie Paz (all USA), Seryoga (RUS) or Nessbeal , Sexion d'Assaut , Soprano , Keny Arkana (FRA) and many more. He also produced the title song for the film Chiko by Fatih Akın .

Shuko was also involved in Cro's album Raop , which sold over half a million copies, and on the French group Sexion d'Assaut's record, which was awarded a diamond in France . He produced five songs from the Kollegah and Farid Bang album Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2 and, together with Just Blaze (producer of Jay-Z and Kanye West ), the single Plant the Seed by the artist Saigon.

The end of 2013 the single was surprisingly Let You Go by Ira May a great success in Switzerland. The accompanying album The Spell , which Bauss worked with her for two years, went straight to number 1 on the Swiss album charts.

In 2014, Shuko was largely responsible for the success of rapper Cro's second studio album. Six tracks were created in the Odenwald, Switzerland and Mainz. The first single release, Traum , which he produced together with Freedo, landed at number one in the German charts and stayed there for over four weeks.

In early 2015 Shuko released his first and only producer album, For the Love of It .
