Siegfried Krause

Siegfried Krause (born March 24, 1928 ) is a former German functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . From 1983 to 1990 he was chairman of the NDPD district committee in Leipzig .

Life

After attending elementary school, Krause learned the trade of industrial clerk. He joined the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD) and from 1953 worked as a full-time employee of the NDPD district association Annaberg . From 1955 he was a member of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district committee and then the Leipzig-Stadt district committee of the NDPD. He qualified as a qualified economist, worked temporarily as a senior scientific assistant and was awarded a Dr. rer. oec. pole. PhD.

In November 1971 he was elected as a member of the district assembly and in December 1971 as deputy chairman for trade and supply of the Leipzig district council (successor to Karl-Heinz Schäfer). He held this office until July 1983. From 1972 he was a member of the NDPD district committee in Leipzig and its secretariat. On July 20, 1983, he was elected to succeed Harry Hegler as chairman of the NDPD district association in Leipzig. In the same year he was elected as a member of the main committee of the NDPD.
