Stefan Engler (born May 30, 1960 in Chur ; resident in Brienz and Surava ) is a politician ( CVP ) of the Swiss canton of Graubünden .

Life

Engler studied law and became a lawyer . From 1987 to 1998 he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Graubünden . On April 5, 1998, he was elected to the government council, to which he was a member until the end of 2010. He headed the construction, transport and forestry department. In 2008 he was elected regional president on a rotating basis . In the 2011 parliamentary elections Engler was in the Senate voted. In the elections in 2015 and 2019 he was confirmed in office. He is President of the Board of Directors of the Rhaetian Railway .

Engler lives in Chur, is married, has two children and held the rank of captain in the Swiss Army .
