The Turkish national football team represents Turkey in international women's football . The selection is subordinate to the Turkish Association and is trained by Ogün Temizkanoğlu .

The Turkish national team has never qualified for a major tournament so far. In qualifying for the 2011 World Cup , the team met Spain , England , Austria and Malta . There was only one victory against Malta and one draw against Austria, so that in the end the penultimate group place was occupied.

In qualifying for the 2013 European Championship , Turkey met the German team , against which they have recorded the highest defeat to date, and for the first time Switzerland .

In the FIFA world rankings, Turkey first fell from 68th to 72nd place, which was occupied from December 2006 to March 2007 and March 2008, then climbed to 57th place in June 2009 and then fell back to 66th place (November 2010) . Turkey is currently ranked 60th and 32nd in the European ranking.
