Uma Ana Ulo ( Uma Analu , Uma Ana Ulu ) is an East Timorese place and Suco in the administrative office of Venilale ( municipality of Baucau ).

The place

The place Uma Ana Ulo is in the west of the Sucos, on the country road between the places Baucau and Venilale . There is a medical station, a primary school and a secondary school here.

Uma Ana Ulo has 2527 inhabitants (2015), of which 1286 are men and 1241 women. The population density is 278.3 inhabitants / km². There are 433 households in the Suco. About 85% of the residents state Waimaha as their mother tongue, and a small minority speak Midiki . Both belong to the Kawaimina languages. In addition, over 10% speak Makasae as their mother tongue , around 5% Tetum Prasa and a small minority Adabe .

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Uma Ana Ulo had an area of ​​10.88 km². Now it is 9.08 km². The Suco is to the north of the Venilale administrative office. To the west is the Suco Uma Ana Ico and to the south the Sucos Baha Mori and Bado-Ho'o . In the north, Uma Ana Ulo borders the Baucau administrative office with its sucos Gariuai and Uailili .

The towns of Nuno Doco ( Nunudoco ), Uma Ana Ulo and Betunau ( Betonau , the Aldeia Betunau is in Suco Uma Ana Ico) are on the rural road in the west of Sucos, and the town of Venilale ( Venilalo ) is to the west of the road . In the center of the sucos are the villages Osso-Gui-Gui ( Osso Guigui ) and Caihula . The second primary school of sucos is located in Caihula.

The four Aldeias Caihula , Nuno Doco , Osso-Gui-Gui and Venilale are located in the Suco .

history

At the end of 1979 there was an Indonesian camp in Uma Ana Ulo for East Timorese who were supposed to be relocated by the occupiers for better control.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Vicente de Sousa Boavida was elected Chefe de Suco and confirmed in office in 2009 and 2016 .
