The Weisshorn Group is a mountain range in the Valais Alps . It lies between the Mattertal in the east and the Zinaltal in the west, on whose northern flank the Jungtal and the Turtmann valley end . The Weisshorn Group is the fourth highest mountain range in the Alps after the Mont Blanc massif , Monte Rosa and Mischabel . Its main peak is the Weisshorn at 4505 m above sea level. M.
Most demanding peaks in the Valais Alps
The ridge climbs to the Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn and Ober Gabelhorn are highly recommended if you are able to do so, as the crowning glory can be seen the entire crossing of the main ridge from the Bishorn and Weisshorn to the Ober Gabelhorn.
