Wolfram Lösch began playing skeleton in 2000. In December of that year, he drove his first European Skeleton Cup race in Altenberg . In November 2001 in Winterberg , when he finished seventh, he achieved a top ten placement in the European Cup for the first time. A year later he drove to third place for the first time in Winterberg and thus achieved his first podium finish. In January 2003, Lösch made his debut in Igls in the Skeleton World Cup and was 19th in his first race. A little later he entered the 2003 European Skeleton Championships in St. Moritz and was 18th. A few weeks later he was 16th in Altenberg. Placed his best World Cup result. In 2004 he entered the Junior World Championships in Winterberg, where he just missed a medal in fourth place. In the 2004/05 season Lösch drove mainly in the European Cup. It was his best season in the racing series. After several single-digit placements, he came third in the overall standings behind the Americans Robert Murray and Chris Hedquist .
At the German Junior Championships in 2001, Lösch finished second behind Simon Wiesheu , and won the title a year later. The athlete from RC Ilmenau finished eighth in the 2001 German Skeleton Championship , fifth in 2002 , and in 2003 he won the bronze medal behind Willi Schneider and Florian Grassl together with Frank Kleber . It stayed with a placement on the podium, but Lösch was able to place well several times. He finished eighth in 2004 , seventh in 2005 and sixth in 2006 .
He is employed in Altenberg as a federal base trainer for skeleton and he is, for example, the home trainer for Axel Jungk .
