Rivière du Poste is named after the 2nd largest river in Mauritius which cross by the village and seperating it into two district [[Savanne District|Savanne]] and [[Grand Port District|Grand Port]]. The village itsef is distributed into 4 parts: Camp Rabaud (part in savanne district), Camp Siajee, Terrain Maurice and camp Cevrette ( the remaing three found in Grand Port District).
