Hovea acanthoclada (Thorny Hovea) is a prickly shrub in the family Fabaceae, native to the south-west of Western Australia. It is erect and rigid in habit, growing to between 0.6 and 2 metres high[2] The species has purple or blue flowers that appear between July and October in its native range.[2] It occurs on rocky slopes and outcrops.[2]
