On Nov 3, 2020 the SMA disseminated an email to its members, claiming that doctors had the right to be removed from doctor directories, and offering it as a free service to their members to be added to a list of doctors who wish to disassociate with the Singaporean online platform DoctorxDentist,[6][7] while also asking doctors who are not currently a member to sign up for a membership with SMA.[8]
