John C. Whitcomb is a well-known author, he has also been a recognized professor of the Old Testament and Christian theology for more than 50 years.

Dr. Whitcomb’s most famous work, The Genesis Flood (co-authored in 1961 with the late Dr. Henry Morris), is widely acknowledged by creationists and evolutionist alike. It has had significance in igniting the modern creationist movement around the world.
