Band history
Two guys, from Calgary, in a high school band risked everything that they had worked for to drive out to Toronto in pursuit of a good gig. The guys from Calgary met a singer from Lacombe busking on a street corner, an instant connection was formed, the three of them made demos, played live shows and messed around with programming and sounds, becoming a tight unit. Under the name SunLikeStar they made a record called "inverse" and toured endlessy to try and prove their point. After a few years of working hard, Art of Dying was formed, they aimed to show the world what rock was about.
Since the bands inception in Vancouver two years ago, according to CFOX Vancouver, Art of Dying has quietly become one of Canada’s number one rock bands to watch. Their lead single “Get Through This” has attracted over 60,000 fans to their MySpace page, has reached the Top 10 Unsigned Bands list on MySpace, and has battled it out in the Top 10 charts on many US radio stations. In addition to being the theme song during the opening credits for the “Stuntdawgs” TV show, it is also the theme song for this season’s Global TV’s hockey reality show, “Making The Cut”, and can be heard on ABC’s Falcon Beach series.

Vancouver’s underground rock scene brought together five musicians with the knack for producing hard rocking anthems with catchy melodies.
