Is this list complete?

According to Last.fm there was a 2002 Capitol album called 'Without Parachutes'. Why isn't it in this list? Dcutter (talk) 22:19, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's a fanmade compilation. -- I need a name (talk) 23:05, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

EP?

According to this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brothers_%26_Sisters_%28song%29 it is also an EP .. should it not be added to the list of EPs? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.33.32.4 (talk) 02:40, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sales figures anybody?

To the person who keeps changing the sale's figures back to 8.3 million.. you're wrong. 8.3 million is how many were sold in 2005, so + 2006 sales you get a figure of 10+ million.

2007

Should something about the new 2007 album be on here?

Galleries

Anyone know what happened to the album galleries here? --72.237.101.131 02:38, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sales and gallery

Album sales should be higher I think. X&Y sold 8.3 million only in 6 months in 2005. How can it have an overall selling of 10-11 millions 2 years after that? I Believe it should be around 14-15 million at least. The two previous album's sales might be like they are in the article. Although I think A Rush of blood should have sold more. And possibly Parachutes sold less. Also, why aren't the album covers here? (190.17.68.133 (talk) 02:54, 22 January 2008 (UTC)).[reply]

B-sides?

Albums like A Rush Of B-Sides To Your Head, Without Parachutes are not listed here. i understand that they may not have been officially released, but their existence is undeniable!

Why those aren't officially released, you can buy them. --Pablo Castellanos 23:49, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
because unofficial releases are not to be included per MOS:DISCOG Mister sparky (talk) 00:20, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Other albums

Where do albums like Castles fit in? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nevster (talkcontribs) 12:43, 16 April 2008 (UTC) Ah - found out it's jut a compilation someone on the web made up.[reply]

Flags

I propose the flags be removed from the list permenantely. I can find no other discography pages which use flags, so I don't see why this one should. I'm not about to start an edit war over this, but I am not prepared to be reverted for no given reason by users with clear communication problems. Qst (talk) 15:41, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, per WP:FLAG. Flags shouldn't be liberally used for "window dressing". --Madchester (talk) 16:12, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

!?@~*!

Who the f*** is the one who keeps on changing this page, like getting rid of stuff such as album chart positions so it's only UK, US and a couple more. WTF!?!? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Officially Mr X (talkcontribs) 21:52, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Drop the attitude mate, as I'm not about to talk to some annoyed person who can't calm himself down. Qst (talk) 16:18, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And that person is me. We don't need loads of countries listed, just about 5. We also don't need flags, nor do we need bold face on the #1 positions. Qst (talk) 16:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why the Bubbling Under positions for "Trouble" and "In My Place" were removed. Somebody keeps doing this to Pearl Jam's discography as well. Lovetoadmire (talk) 16:45, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edits of references

I made reasonable edits to the references but adding ref names to all the duplicate links to the charts for albums and live albums. I also added a link to the RIAA page for Coldplay's albums, which I thought was better than just the database entry page. Any reason why these would be reverted? --Wolfer68 (talk) 19:40, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lost? vs. Lost! charting - Lost? is correct

Ok, i've changed this a number of times now and had my edits reversed. Firstly, 'Lost?' and 'Lost!' are not the same track - they are completely different the former lasting 3:40 while the latter is 3:55.

Basically, 'Lost!' is a track appearing on the standard Viva La Vida album while 'Lost?' is a bonus track available on iTunes. The reason why this track charted in the top 75 is because this song wasn't available on the physical album so everyone that got that is downloading 'Lost?' to ensure they have all the tracks.

This article confirms this http://new.uk.music.yahoo.com/blogs/chartwatch/232/week-ending-june-21st-2008/

In the US, Billboard combined the weeks for the Lost versions, as it does for remixes of singles. Therefore the weeks that it was under 87 as well as the week it was 87 and the week it was 40 were all combined.

By separating them as two different singles it no longer truly represents Billboard.99.3.114.6 (talk) 00:17, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Winterspell (talk) 19:38, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I Am the one that added it.... and anyway please stop ignorantly claiming your knowledge on the subject...

[[1]]216.221.108.75 (talk) 20:06, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't resolve anything though - Yahoo is surely a more reliable source than this other site anyway? I understand there may be confusion over the track due to similar names and maybe it was 'Lost!' with the exclamation mark that charted in other countries but the fact is is that in the UK, it was 'Lost?' that charted and that is a fact and thus the Wikipedia entry must show that.

Winterspell (talk) 21:25, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In the worst case scenario there has been an error in the compiling of the charts and sales from both 'Lost?' and 'Lost!' have been combined - i'm lead to believe this is a posibility by the fact the official UK charts company lists the track with no punctuation mark after it at all

Winterspell (talk) 21:53, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should somebody...

Do something about this?: "the song featuring Miss Kylie Minogue is called Lhuna, not Lunar, and is not confirmed to be on the band's next album."[2] I'm new and would prefer if someone else changed the article as my changes were quickly reverted.24.84.50.48 (talk) 19:24, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'Life In Technicolor II'

On the 'Singles' list it suggests that "Life In Technicolor II" Peaked at 90 in UK and 93 in Australia in 2009. Apologies if I'm missing something but how can a song chart in a year that hasn't started yet? Dgen (talk) 04:22, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is a disaster.... it does not have official chart information, let alone no official chart links.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.221.96.202 (talk) 22:37, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Songs

I'd like to make a point about the redirect and deletion of Glass of Water (song) page. In some ways it is an unnecessary page but why is it that bands like U2 on Wikipedia have pages for almost every song ever written? As for Coldplay, not even the singles What If and White Shadows have pages. It doesn't make sense that it should be like that. Who has decided it's okay for U2 (and maybe there are other examples) and not for Coldplay. They are equally significant as bands and there is certainly enough stuff to mention about a lot of the Coldplay songs as it is for U2. What does everyone else think? Officially Mr X (talk) 12:28, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think if a song fails WP:NSONGS it should either be redirected or deleted regardless of who it is by. If you think there are articles for U2 songs which fail WP:NSONGS you are more than welcome to nominate for deletion. --JD554 (talk) 13:03, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

EPs and discography

Hey guys I think that http://www.coldplay.com/recordings.php says that much more recordings were release...for example I'm sure that brothers & sisters is a released EP , since i have it ^^ ! so..? Zara89 (talk) 10:19, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

only officially released things are included here. not free downloads from their website. brothers and sisters is included, in the singles section as it was a 3-track single, i know it exists i have it as well :) Mister sparky (talk) 16:31, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Boxset

I've changed 'Compilation albums' to 'Boxsets' in reference to the fact that a boxset is the only thing included and it also seems cruel to say 'Compilation album' when so much of those EPs are a little like compilations but aren't included in the compilation albums section.--77.99.231.37 (talk) 18:36, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Every Teardrop...

... reached No. 28 in Germany source--79.199.57.202 (talk) 10:38, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Princess of China

This was definitely released as a single, why is it not included under singles, but rather under "other charted songs". That's for album tracks and b-sides and what not that may have charted. Shouldn't it be moved? Sherlock32 (talk) 19:52, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Source for it being released as a single, please. -- I need a name (talk) 21:34, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Countries

This page is missing lots of certifications and certified sales from other nations. I think that more countries should be added to the tables on here, if we're to provide accuracy then this should be done. --Bobtinin (talk) 21:47, 13 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

B-Sides & Rarities is not official, just fanmade.

Please add sales column in single

I need sales column, please add someone in single — Preceding unsigned comment added by Esambuu (talkcontribs) 11:31, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Changing Germany with Italy

I think it is time to replace Germany with Italy because of higher chart positions and certifications on all the formats (albums, compilations and singles). You can compare by yourself by seeing on the page's history. Do you agree? --Leo Mercury (talk) 13:35, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why not Germany and Italy both included? Esambuu (talk) 02:16, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Esambuu: Because discographies have a recommended 10-column limit. Ss112 20:28, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Coldplay album sales

Hello all, we need to find sales data of coldplay's studio album releases. Current sales adjusted in 2012. So their first 5 albums sales are outdated. Esambuu (talk) 08:47, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hypnotised Music Video

A lyric video was made in early 2017 prior to the release of the Kaleidescope EP, directed by Mary Wigmore. I added it to the music video list, as it was the video accompanying the release of a single, had a director credited, and has visual imagery beyond mere lyric text. Please remove it if this is not deemed a music video. MabuseTest (talk) 15:37, 8 December 2020

Checking in about SdkbBot

Hi @GustavoCza! I noticed that you and SdkbBot are going back and forth a bit on this page, so I just wanted to check in proactively to see what's up and make sure the bot isn't causing you any issues. Looking at the page, it seems that what you're trying to do is to use a space to create a line break between e.g. ITA and its reference. A better way to do that that also wouldn't cause the bot to attempt a fix might be to use <br/> instead. Would that work alright? Cheers, {{u|Sdkb}}talk 19:59, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello! My latest revision hopefully fixed the issue, I don't think the bot will bother again. Thanks. --GustavoCza (talk) 20:03, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good! Feel free to let me know if there are any issues. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 20:26, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
