Help me?

Dear PeaceNT I sincerely hope that you are alright, and not just because I am going to ask for your help. Help? I would really appreciate your help. Are you alright? Thanks for the consideration. Do you know of anyone as kind as you are that may adopt me? (This is not just because someone has removed the long-overdue-for-a-change-picture on Thomas' page either, I was planning to seek adoption after that last expansion anyway.) When you so kindly send me pages of helpful information, I haven't the faintest idea where to start. I am trying to wrap my mind around the seemingly inexhaustable choices and really need a home base to explore from there on. How do I know if I even have a user page? Did the system generate one for me and I just don't realize this? If so, how do I recognize it as such? How do I get there, every time I try to make one, the system wipes it out - Argh! Thanks for your patience with me, by the way, about everything. Thank you for all the notes. (Much easier to learn if no one is yelling at me, I could just be bold and blunder ahead angering everyone, but find the shy way to be more productive - less enemies that way. Keep in mind that until this past December I never have had a computer in the home. Sorry I am not more savvy but, I am trying.) We have no other pictures of Thomas, the last time I checked where the other picture came from in our photo file storage, that was the only one there! I don't mind someone taking something like a picture away but hopefully we would put a better picture in it's place. Is there a certain protocol to be followed when seeking to obtain pictures from various sources? What can we have? How do we obtain more? This empty space where a picture should be is not good, it's been about a week. How does one avoid the look of a page that was spammed with photos: how many is too many? How do I add them to the page? As you can read, I do need help. Thanks for taking the time to read this. And respond? Sincerely, Linn,````

Thank you

I have a user page now. Don't know if you are still gone but, thank you for being here, still need a bit more help, thank you! Linn-bun

hello from newbie

Feel free to ignore me or drop a note on my user page Marinasail 00:30, 23 August 2007 (UTC) I'm just limping around here trying to get a feel for the place. Saw that you started adopt-a-newbie program here, Cool! I'll have to look into that. Not a lotta time but hope to get through the How-To-pages and see if I can get a page up. not much time and schedule about to get worse oh well. It's interesting.[reply]

WikiProject Harry Potter roll-call

Hi there. Your username is listed on the WikiProject Harry Potter participants list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active on the project. Your name has therefore been moved to a "potentially inactive" list. If you still consider yourself an active WikiProject Harry Potter editor, please move your name from the Potentially inactive list to the Active Contributors list. You may also wish to add {{User WP Harry Potter}} to your userpage, if you haven't done so already. Conversely, if you do not wish to be considered a member of the WikiProject, leave your name where it is and it will be moved to the Inactive Contributors section. If you wish to make a clean break with the Project you may move your name to the Known to have left section. Many thanks.

Could you please unprotect this page? I started to take it to WP:RFPP but, after I read that page, it said to talk to the protecting admin first. It seems like some headway is being made on Talk:Anna Svidersky and there is momentum to build consensus and edit this article. Ursasapien (talk) 07:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. You seem to be offline, so I've unprotected both articles; only fair to let you know. If you disagree, please feel free to reinstate protection. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 17:15, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, no problem

That cake looks delicious. --Closedmouth 12:28, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had filed a request for protection, I noticed you were looking at the other requests. There is a blocked user who somehow has the ability to avoid IP blocks, creating at least 4 accounts in one day. I know it is unusual to request semi protection for a talk page, but I think it maybe necessary because the sock is causing major distraction.

RfA

Oh, all right ... I guess we'll see how it goes. Like a lamb being led to the slaughter, I shall go if I must. I see there are not a lot of other candidates at present to be scrutinized, which means extra special attention will be lavished on those few who dare to step into the gauntlet trap. *Sigh*. But I guess it is about time for me to pick up a mop and broom and dustpan already and get to work. Despite my humility, please again accept my thanks for your enduring kindness. --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 12:43, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK I filled out the questionaire form, but it didn't load onto the general WP:RfA page - is that something you would do manually? Or did I do it wrong...? --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 14:39, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. The first half-day is proving to be a brutal one. But the train is at full steam and I guess we'll have to just wait and see what the Bureaucrats think of it. Whatever happens, I want you to know that your nomination of me was by far the finest I ever saw in any RfA, and I cannot thank you enough for it. --T-dot ( Talk/contribs ) 00:30, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article

Please return the article on Dvar you deleted. It's an importent band in the Gothic scene and i already had this argument once and gave all the needed links, or at least give me the copy of the article. M.V.E.i. 16:32, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - When you create new accounts for the nice folks who request them at WP:ACC, please be sure to add  :{{ACC|c}} ~~~~ to close the request after you've created the account. If you don't, the archiving bot doesn't archive the successful requests, then another admin – for example, me – checks the page and he or she will try to create the accounts only to find they have already been created.

Don't feel bad – I deleted half the damn page once, including the header, and I've only recently lived it down. I wish there was some consistency among the various 'tag here', 'place header here' stuff – one place, you put a tag above the subject heading, another place you put it below the subject heading, another place you want to slug someone with the tag. Took me two months to figure out cascading page protection. (/soapbox)

Who programmed this silly site, anyway? ;-) - KrakatoaKatie 03:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there, PeaceNT. Regarding Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/João Carlos Heidemann, I think you missed Washington Cesar Santos Júnior. Cheers! —Lesfer (t/c/@) 13:58, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism on my talk page

Thanks for reverting. I have just reported the user, so you dont need to be too worried about reverting it any more (he just reverted your revert :P) if you dont want to. (If you want to go ahead :P) Thanks again. Tiddly-Tom 14:31, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Didnt realise you were Admin, thanks for blocking him ;) Tiddly-Tom 14:34, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting vandalism

hello, thank you for appreciating my anti-vandal efforts. Bye :) ---Doktor Who 08:37, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted this on August 16 as a db-self; can you please tell me if there was an actual article or just a sub-stub? Thank you. --NE2 13:25, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How stubby was it? Was it the kind that would have been better started from scratch? --NE2 14:07, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that would be nice. I'm not sure if I'm going to create it but there's a good chance. --NE2 14:13, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It certainly looks good enough for an article. Can you please restore it to New Brunswick Route 103? Thank you. --NE2 14:19, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to Wikipedia:Revocation of GFDL is not permitted, I could copy it from Google's cache and credit it to him, and it would satisfy the GFDL, but it would be cleaner to have his name on the revisions. Looking at User:Kirjtc2, I don't think he'd be interested in talking, if he's even monitoring his talk page any more. --NE2 14:30, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot. Can you get the talk page too, and delete the sandbox? --NE2 14:37, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
