Ryu Goto (born 1990 in New York) is a Japanese concert violinist and the younger brother of Midori Goto. He made his professional debut in Korea at the age of thirteen, and has since performed with numerous orchestras in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He plays a 1815 Stradivarius and records under the Deutsche Grammophon label. As of September 2007, Goto is concentrating in Food and Beverage in the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. To celebrate the release of his new album in August 2007, he donated $50,000 to the Violin Society of America in New York to buy violins for homeless children.
