Naani (Telugu: నాని) is a Tollywood film released in 2003, in which Mahesh Babu plays the lead role S .J. Suryaah is the Director the other co stars include Amisha Patel, Devayani and Raghuvaran. Naani is a film about a teenage boy who is aged to adulthood by a Scientist. Naani is a remake of the Hollywood film "Big" and it was later made in Tamil with different cast as New.

Plot

After feeling that he is being repeatedly humiliated and unwanted by his Mother and brother. Naani an eight year old goes to a Scientist who turns him into a 28 year old man and he goes to work in a Toy Company and is pursued by Priya (Amisha Patel) daughter of company's chief at the toy company and gets married to her and has a child. His mother meanwhile played by Devayani starts looking for him and lodges a complaint in police station that her son is missing. Meanwhile Naani learns of his mother's love for him and turns back to the Scientist asking him to be turn him back into a child. But the Scientist's reverse process does not work and he ends being an eight year old with his mother during Day and as an adult as Priya's husband in night. "Naani" is all about the how Naani manages his dual life.

Characters

The main characters are:

• Naani - (Mahesh Babu)and a 8-year-old boy who is turned into an adult overnight after drinking a potion given by a Scientist, although he retains his boyish charm and inexperience, and gains amazing physical abilities. As an adult, he gets a job at a toy company.
• Priya - (Amisha Patel) Naani's beautiful wife and intelligent daughter of company's chief in the toy company.
• Scientist - (Raghuvaran) who turns Naani into an adult.
• Naani's mother- (Devayani)
