:I think it stems from the fact some IPs are dynamic (like the one I reported), so there's no way for an admin to know if the same person is making unhelpful edits. (ex: univeristy, public school, etc.) [[User:AgnosticPreachersKid|<b><font color="blue">'''APK'''</font></b>]] [[User talk:AgnosticPreachersKid|<font color="red"><small>'''yada yada'''</small></font>]] 04:58, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Fountain at Dupont Circle. I love this picture.

A message left on this talk page by a Christian fan of my work: "You sodomites really know how to stick together....yech !!!! I never met one who was not significantly emotionally disturbed. Oh, they can function and prosper in society but when the center of your life is your perverted sex you are emotionally disturbed and after looking at your user page are no different. People like you should and someday will be destroyed. It will be a glorious day. BTW i rotate ip addresses about every 2-3 days........Keep on Suckin'

ps. have you ever thought about putting a gun to your head and giving your life to jesus? i know i could not go through life day to day looking in the mirror at that vile degenerate looking back at me." - 97.88.222.103

So much for this.

I hope all of you sodomites decide that maybe Christians are right and that all we need is some church in our wicked lives.

Praise Jeebus!!!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

YOU'RE A STUPID GAY COCKSUCKING QUEER WHO WILL NEVER KNOW HOW GOOD IT FEELS TO FUCK A WOMAN UP THE ASS!!!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1996 battle of (talkcontribs)

Why, hello there! We must have met somewhere and you obviously miss me. So, how you be durrin? Tell yo mamma I axe how she be durrin. In response to your statement, you have most of your facts correct. I'm not stupid, but I am the following: gay (I love dick more than Nicole Kidman loves botox), cocksucker (this is already mentioned on my user page and you are very correct...i love sucking on a big juicy cock...you should try it!!...how else would i get my daily requirements of protein?), queer (ding ding! correct again!...every time i get on all fours and take a hit of my poppers it makes me feel like the biggest goddamn queer in D.C. and you should come videotape it!). In regards to never knowing how good it feels to fuck a woman up the ass. I'm not an expert on human anatomy, but the word on the street is that women have vaginas. You're implying that you have fucked a woman's butt. If it's supposedly "odd" for gay men to do that, then what does that make you? You're choosing to stick your wee-wee in her back door, even though she has a cunt. My advice would be to utilize that body cavity and leave her booty hole alone. I, on the other hand, don't have a va-jay-jay so I must utilize what is available. I've had numerous chances to penetrate a hairy clam, but my true calling in life is to be someone's bedroom bitch. If you would like further assistance on how to become a bitch, let me know or ask at the help desk. God bless you and have a great day! APK yada yada 16:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dude... I ain't laughed so hard in days. That's great. From someone who prefers the va-jay-jay, you is STILL one of the funniest dudes in town... ANd yes, someday I plan to take those pictures. I have it written down. I will do it I promise... --Jayron32.talk.contribs 20:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I try, I try. :-) I found a few websites with great pix of places around Raleigh, but I don't know if they'll upload them. We'll see. Just take some pix when you can, no rush. APK yada yada 20:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After looking at your sentence structure, it looks as if you're promising to take pictures of va-jay-jays. That's hot. Side note: in reference to the above discussion about my stolen laptop, the thief has probably had a cardiac arrest after looking in my pictures folder. I've been known to be somewhat of an exhibitionist. The pictures on my laptop prove it. APK yada yada 20:35, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The question is, are they pictures of your "laptop"?... --Jayron32.talk.contribs 20:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And is your "laptop" "Microsoft"... Ok, I should stop now...--Jayron32.talk.contribs 20:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They were pictures of my hard drive. APK yada yada 20:48, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jayron is right, you are one the funniest dudes around, APK. All your admirer did was to give you something to have fun with. I bet he's sorry now. So much better than warning and shit. (durrin --> ROTFLMAO!) — Becks Talk to me 01:11, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I must say i came across APK's User page, which i have spent the last 30 minutes chuckling to, you have a great sense of humour, im quite shocked that people could write such hateful things about you in this day and age. I myself have had to endure some upsetting times at wikipedia because of my race. If it wasnt for wikipedias stupid rules on civility i would say screw the lot of them.... oops i said it, please dont tell. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 07:51, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gracias. Don't worry, I've heard every name in the book as I'm sure you have as well. If people are going to call me names, I wish they'd come up with something creative instead of the usual queer, faggot, or cocksucker. Hell, my friends and I call each other those names. I left the message at the top of the page where I was called a "sodomite" because of the biblical aspect. That was semi-creative. Also, I'll say it. Screw the lot of them. :-) APK yada yada 14:55, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you get a chance, would you mind taking a picture of the Artspace building at City Market? I'm about to write an article for it and if you have free time, I'd appreciate a picture. No rush. I started on the Moore Square Historic District, but I figured creating articles for Long View Center, City Market, and Artspace would help out the intro (notice the red links). On a side note, while searching The News & Observer database I saw this advertisement. I don't know why I think it's so funny, but I loves it. You can also see in the Google search box another article I'm working on. sigh I blame this on my ADHD. I can't stay focused on one article. APK yada yada 17:59, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Great idea! The weather is gorgeous after the weekend rain so I brought my camera into work and plan to take pictures at lunch. I'll get Artspace, the State Bank of North Carolina, and a shot of the best side of the Capitol: its east side. Oh, and I found a railfan who sent me an outstanding 1940s photo of the old Union Station showing tracks, platforms and everything! I'm trying to track down the copyright holder but it is beautiful. Maybe I can post a link to it somewhere. (P.S. How you durrin? Heh. I've met lots of people like "Shirley.") Jmturner (talk) 15:10, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Your search box clue reminded me: have you heard of Hungry Neck, by any chance? Jmturner (talk) 15:27, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent. I might e-mail Artspace and ask them to upload pictures of inside the building (artwork, lobby, etc.) since you'll have the outside covered. It's a beautiful day here as well. I just stepped outside for a minute and I feel the urge to join the tourists and walk around the Mall. That's great you found the old Union Station picture. Hungry Neck is a historic black neighborhood. (1, 2) BTW, you're a celebrity! imdurrinrealgood APK yada yada 15:53, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ill take i good look at it asap, its nearly 4am where i am so my advise at this point is unwise lol, however i will give you my analysis within the next 24 hours. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 02:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On a seperate note, im trying to neaten out my 4 GA passes[1], into some sort of box, any ideas, i dont like it in that straight line look. Hum? Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 02:47, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by box? Hmm, lemme think. Do you want the 1-3 & 4-6 numbers kept? APK yada yada 02:52, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The numbers can go, i would like a coloumn of 2, going down, on the left, and a coloumn of 2, going down, on the right. Does that make sense? Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 02:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just solved my issue. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 03:21, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, just got your message. I was watching Cloverfield. It looks good the way you have it now. APK yada yada 03:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, reading it i would say that, the current usage section and lead (just discuss whats in the content of article more) could be expanded, the past owners is an important issue, i would try to get more sources, you seem to be using the same ones lot. I would put it up for GA soon, it wouldnt be quick failed, its a nice article. It has some MoS issues but these can be taken care of easily when spotted at the review. If you put up a peer review i can add an extensive list of corrections and ther peole wil give advise. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 17:03, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for looking it over. I'll try to research past owners and expand the lead. APK yada yada 19:00, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lol, i just checked out your political compass score, your not "quiet" as socially liberal as myself, thank god i still keep that title. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 19:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, besides abortion I think pretty much everything else should be legal. That's why I don't fit into the Republican party. Well, that and the War, pork barrel spending, Dubya, etc. On the other hand, I definitely don't fit into the Democratic party either because Libertarians are the polar opposites of socialists (despite what the Libertarian socialism article states). BTW, thanks for reverting the IP. APK yada yada 19:48, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Make sure you sort out that article, like i said try setting up a peer review, ill go through it with a microscope then. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 19:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See ya there. I'll wear my lil black dress.

I be durrin fine!

So yeah, I molested your userpage a bit. Made the Wentworth Miller into an actual userbox at User:AgnosticPreachersKid/wm and moved it to the collection of userboxes on the right side of your page. As it was, the text was all wonky around it. Also I couldn't help but read the "This fine human being speaks and understands Southern English proficiently and is therefore a true Southern belle or gentleman." userbox and imagine you in a big pillowy dress sippin' on lemonade in 1885 - only 'cause I know you're a Southern belle and not a Southern gentleman. Ha! - ALLSTAR echo 01:46, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My accent comes out when I talk fast or drink alkihaul. Just call me Scarlet O'Hara. Thanks for fixing the userbox. That was my first time making one and I couldn't figure out how to fix the code. APK yada yada 02:46, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have this persistently fixed little bugger (that keeps blinking "How you be durrin") in the lower right hand corner of my window while on you talk page, APK. Can't get to much Shirley, and I be durrin fine too! Nice piece of code, and cute. — Becks Talk to me 03:39, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Becks saw this vid and immediately thought of you, APK. And Becks has absolutely no clue why he thought of you, or for that matter, why he's speaking in the third person singular. But why listen to Becks, as this is a guy that collects very many versions of the famous Numa Numa song, for example here, or this one. Which inevitably leads to this for some strange and unknown reason. Becks Talk to me 05:27, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

APK has nightmares involving that song. Whenever APK sees this video, he thinks of Becks. :P

OMG, even Becks didn't think of himself when he saw that video. Which song gives you nightmares? OK, how about this one, which should make you sleep better. Please tell Becks you like Syncsta, especially that last vid. Becks Talk to me 06:09, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance

List of best-selling albums worldwide, could you help me with this article. I need to go through it removing dubious sources and replacing them with fact tags. Its a long list so i could do with your help. I had the article on semi protection but when we have finished the fact tags im going to ask that it be removed, in the hope that these ip adresses can be useful and find good sources. When i get the semi protection removed, could you put the article on your watch list, checking any figures / sources are reliable when these ip addresses add them? Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 19:12, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No prob. I'll be finished with Bennett Bunn Plantation in about 30 mins and will look at the article. APK yada yada 19:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers, the first job is to root out unreliable sources, fan sites, official sites, blogs etc and replace them with tags. If your unsource about a source take it to the talk page and we can look at it. Ive called a few others in aswell as its a monster job. Catch up with you laters. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 19:19, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, i wouldnt accept that as a reliable link. Cheers,Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 22:38, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers, its such a crap article, hardly any of it is reliably sourced. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 00:50, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, its cleaned up, all thats left is reliable, lol, thats not much either. I completely removed the 15-20 million catagory, there were like 5 reliable claims and as thats the area that gets the most fan craft it makes sense to get rid of it completely. Im thinking should we put the unsourced claims on the talk page and remove them from the article? It will give ip adresses more incentive to go hunting for info? Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 01:59, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of BS for you. (WP:BS, not the other kind of BS)...

Cape Lookout Lighthouse

Hello WikiProject North Carolina members! A few of us at the The Newsroom Team decided to get together and re-energize the project, through these newsletters. This newsletter is hopefully the first of many to come. We want this project to be active in creating and expanding articles related to our state. If you're a current or former resident of the state, we hope that you will help spread the knowledge of how much there is to learn about North Carolina.

  • A great way to expand new articles is by keeping track of the new articles list. Please add any new NC-related articles or older ones you come across that have not been tagged with the project banner. When you notice an article has been added to the list, read over it and check for citations, grammatical errors, and spelling. If you've written a NC-related article in the past 5 days, read the requirements for Did you know... and add your article to the DYK nomination list. It might be chosen for the Main Page!
  • If you see a new member added to the project list, a great idea would be to leave them a welcome message on their talk page. Show them we notice new members and that we want them to become active participants.
  • If you have any questions in regards to the project, feel free to contact someone from The Newsroom Team. Thanks for all of your hard work and happy editing!

New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 02:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see I'm already on the list. Thanks for the offer and I'm more than willing to help. I'll update my info. Cheers. APK yada yada 05:35, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

African American history in Raleigh

Hi, sounds like a great idea - you've done a lot already and helped me learn about it, too. Let me know when you'd like help.--Parkwells (talk) 21:24, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Will do. Thanks for your help. APK yada yada 21:31, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Old Stone House (Washington, D.C.)

He wants to bone me. APK yada yada 03:01, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that would explain it. I was worried you had done something to piss this guy off along the way, but I guess it's more innocent than that. Still, you'd think he'd take the hint... —MearsMan talk 03:04, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And we all know that being obnoxious is a good way to convince someone to "dance" with you. <rolls eyes> Aleta Sing 03:09, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It reminds me of elementary school when I would smack a girl (yes, a girl) and call her ugly, when in reality I was subconsciously flirting with her. Ahh, those were the days; when APK was so innocent, flirted with females, and still believed in the Bible and shit. APK yada yada 03:29, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jody, how is the house situation going? Hopefully better. And Aleta, if Becks's head and certain other body parts weren't attached, he would forget those as well. Becks often forgets his cell phone. BTW, Becks still does that, APK. Becks Talk to me 03:52, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jody and his husband have been shackin up with APK in Dupont. What do you think this was all about? :P On a serious note, yeah Jody, how's the house situation? Please tell me you followed my advice and told the insurance company you had connections to the mob. They always get scared when hearing that and are more likely to give you 10 million for your new crib. APK yada yada 03:55, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If Jody gets $10M, can we all move in with him? There should be enough room in the mansion, although with only 70 rooms, we will have to rough it. — Becks Talk to me 04:16, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I prefer him buying the Grove Park Inn. It has the mountains, views, the pools cars, and most importantly, it's in North Kakalaki. APK yada yada 04:33, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Too bad none of those photos are commons licensed. The article needs a photo, so Becks tagged it. Nice place and Becks votes yes to NC. (Is it cool and/or dry there during the summer?) — 04:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

I went by the Grove Park last summer...so beautiful. Asheville and the NC mountains have a New England-style climate. APK yada yada 04:53, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The insurance settled on the house itself, the full coverage so that was good. Still fighting over the contents. I'll be lucky to buy a double-wide and pay my car off but hey, this is Mississippi afterall so a double-wide wouldn't be out of the norm. - ALLSTAR echo 06:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks. I worked hard on that article. But it's not officially a DYK yet. I just need a responce from one of the admins first.--RyRy5 (talkwikify) 04:18, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Award

WikiProject National Register of Historic Places Award
This award has been bestowed upon you, AgnosticPreachersKid by IvoShandor in recognition of quality content and stub creation for articles within the scope of WikiProject National Register of Historic Places. Keep up the excellent work. IvoShandor (talk) 08:32, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought you had earned this. :) IvoShandor (talk) 08:32, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Can you tell I'm a little addicted to this project? ;-) After looking at your NRHP article contributions, it appears you've deserved this award about 50 times. Cheers. APK yada yada 08:54, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My addiction comes and goes but I take a lot of road trips and visit a lot of NRHP sites so I like to do the articles, I've learned a lot about local history that way. I got the award back when it first came out so no worries there, I have enough of those to pump anyone's ego anyway. I keep an eye on the new article at WP:NRHP because I like to see the new photos and I noticed your numerous contributions, like the nickname btw. Up late and rambling, the bane of the third shifter on a day off. :) IvoShandor (talk) 09:08, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's why I like the project. Like one of my userboxes says, I'm a history buff and I've learned alot about Wake County, North Carolina (especially Raleigh) history from the project. I'm sure my username raises a few eyebrows among select editors, but contrary to some accusations I've received, I'm not POV-pushin on any religious articles. In fact, I've created articles about churches. On a side note, I see you're a member of the ghost town project. I was looking at this list yesterday and I plan on writing articles about Brunswick Town and Buffalo City. The first won't be a problem because I've found numerous sources. The other might be an issue. I've only found these sources so far: 1, 2, picture. I assume ghost cities are automatically notable, like NRHPs. APK yada yada 09:32, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Make sure you do a Google Books search for your missing towns, they are often written about in older pubic domain local histories, a lot of these texts are full view on Google Books. I think all settlements are pretty much automatically notable. Of course, the definition of ghost towns is usually up in the air. If there are no buildings I usually call it a defunct town or village or whatever if there are buildings and no people, to me that fits the definition of a traditional ghost town (last time I checked that article was pretty much an unreferenced heap of crap just FYI). For Illinois we have Category:Ghost towns in Illinois with a sub cat of Category:Defunct towns in Illinois. It works well, though settlements might be a better word than "towns" because of the legal definition that "town" has in most jurisdictions. IvoShandor (talk) 09:57, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:IP harasser

I will have a look at your entries on ANI and see what can be done. I've never blocked an IP range myself, so I'm not completely familiar with the process. ... discospinster talk 16:39, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Have you been following this:

Wikipedia:Global Economicsand the extensive thread on ANI about it? Aleta Sing 03:29, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, what's the synopsis. Also, can you please look at this and comment. The IP has tried to intimidate User:Parkwells and other users with legal threats. For some reason, no one has done anything about it. I see people blocked all the time at ANI for legal threats, but the only response I can get on the latest thread is from someone who calls me "bro." APK yada yada 03:36, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much, all hell broke loose in the Wiki world when a professor gave 100 students the task of creating a new article without first researching Wikipedia policy or providing any instruction on how to use the site to his students. —MearsMan talk 03:51, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like the professor needs to be educated about researching his research assignments. APK yada yada 03:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
People have tried. Much advice has been given, including by a professor whose class produced 3 FA's and 8 GA's (see WP:MMM), but he doesn't choose to respond at all. I saw your ani thread. I'll check out the diffs. Aleta Sing 04:21, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I had not seen your second thread. Anyway, Swatjester has said that he blocked the IP for two weeks. Aleta Sing 04:24, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I wish there was a NRHP class at some university to help out! I've only got 5.7 million more stubs/articles to write for NC. :P APK yada yada 04:51, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Legally threatening other users is very serious to me. It can intimidate valuable editors, or at least annoy them to no end. APK yada yada 04:51, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I dont understand why admins treat ips better than signed up users, i really dont. If i ever become an admin im gonna straighten things out. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 04:53, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it stems from the fact some IPs are dynamic (like the one I reported), so there's no way for an admin to know if the same person is making unhelpful edits. (ex: univeristy, public school, etc.) APK yada yada 04:58, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
