I would have liked some comments of my citation of sources for the Articles for deletion/Tiny Rascal Gang

The references seem to meet basic notablity standards...<blockquote>"This page in a nutshell: If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be notable." (WP:NOTE)</blockquote>To me that suggests that the first deletion was in error, or at least the article has potential to be not delete worthy. It'd be easier for me to not have to start with a blank slate. It shouldn't have just been speedy deleted after I posted evidence of notability. I would have liked to have time to work on it a bit... Would you consider reversing the speedy deletion?--Samuel J. Howard (talk) 00:09, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Do you know how to do a <u>second deletion nomination</u> for this article on Albophobia please? I tried it but notice the article was nominated for deletion once in 2006 but survived the vote. Nothing has happened since then to improve this article. Someone recently tried to prod it (see the article history) and said on the article's talkpage that it was essentially a half written dead dead end page but his prod was removed. The article doesn't have independent third party sources at present and is not very suitable as is. It has WP:DICT issues. Thank You!

Thank you for telling me about the reference desk.

Thank you for fixing the HTML on the Katara article!

Hi Hammer,

You may not have noticed it, but the edit you just reverted is being discussed on the talk page of the article itself. The sourced info I supposedly removed is present further in the text. As the Israeli-Palestinian articles are subject to Wikipedia:General sanctions, I would ask that you self-revert to avoid anything that looks like an edit-war.

After having a look at your edit history, I am somewhat curious as to how you happened on the Gaza beach blast (2006) article... Could you care to enlighten me?

Cheers and thanks, pedrito - talk - 10.06.2008 15:13

Hi Hammer,
Uhm, no, the sources are the same as those in the article and as stated in talk, the assertions made in the lead are not supported by the sources. The way to go here is discussion -- which was underway -- and not revert-warring.
May I ask who on IRC gave you a tip to the article?
Cheers and thanks, pedrito - talk - 10.06.2008 15:25
Hello again, Hammer,
Well, the discussion will continue on the talk page there. You may be interested to know that I have reported User:Jaakobou for soliciting uninvolved editors to score reverts for him on delicate articles.
Cheers and thanks for your frankness and honesty, pedrito - talk - 11.06.2008 06:38
Hi Hammer,
Just one last quick question: as per the discussion on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Arbitration enforcement#Jaakobou soliciting random editors off-wiki, most notably User:Gatoclass' comments regarding WP:CANVAS, could you comment on how User:Jaakobou approached you? A clarification on your behalf would definitely help close this case.
Cheers and many thanks, pedrito - talk - 12.06.2008 11:03

Hey buddy. Need a favor:

I would like to somehow get the facts straight seeing that I am starting a new record label and coming out with a new CD.

Please e-mail me @ jeffwoodrecords@cox.net to discuss.

Help with DYK nomination

I was referred to you by User:Risker as a good person to ask about DYK. I created Woodstock Film Festival today, and I was wondering if you could take a look at it, and see if there are any potential DYK nuggets that might work? S. Dean Jameson 03:40, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 • Here's the thing: I don't have clue 1 where to begin nominating a fact from the article for DYK. I see things on the mainpage, but how do they get there? How do you choose which things are worthy of it? S. Dean Jameson 21:04, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm so scared of him, and I don't how to file a report, nothing like this has ever been that bad for me to talk to an administrator. I won't be online again until about 9:00 or sor cuz I'm going out to the movies with friends, I'm sorry if this is causing any inconvience to you. Although Lynn Anderson's #1 fan thinks I don't have a life or somthing like that, well anyways, talk to ya then. I be back at 9:00 or so, don't worry! Dottiewest1fan (talk) 22:44, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I will start that discussion tomorrow afternoon & get their attention. Thank you so much. Dottiewest1fan (talk) 02:50, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote on the administrators board, where you said to go. They told me, they'll watchlist it, and I think they said they will notify the editor too, we'll see what happens. Dottiewest1fan (talk) 20:52, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 22:59, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not overly bothered by the deletion this time, but I do seem to recall that the article dealt with a special type of plastic foam, not some obscure music act. knoodelhed (talk) 08:15, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Going nowhere

This was posted to J Milburn talk toady with one subsequent post.

Good Day J! I've been accused at times of wearing my emotions on my sleeve and yesterday I showed that by changing this section header as a tangible display. I went to bed happy, pleased that after such a long discussion started by the images being removed, we, personally, had passed a threshold as it were. I still believe that, so you can imagine my surprise and disappointment to wake up and find the images deleted, not by you. When I went to bed the dispute over the image "Second police warning for God's emissary" was ended with a Keep consensus and a different tag noting this. That is gone as well which I don't understand. I had assured you the FUR tag was only a temporary measure. This dispute within Wikipedia required my immediate focus. If the article was in the top 100 list, I am confident there would have been a consensus to keep both images. This was more difficult with such a smaller number of users involved in the discussion. My optimism was restored when Kingturtle listed the article in the RFCbio list. Nothing! I have been pleading for someone to restore the information about the 1981 trip to Whitehorse, Yukon with the verification newspaper references removed from the article. Nothing! I am seriously considering abandoning Wikipedia to the neutral netherworld as not being worth my time and effort. DoDaCanaDa (talk) 12:24, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Where did this user say that they were going to translude their RfA? I can't see any evidence of this, and I'm tempted to remove the RfA before it's closed as a snowball. The candidate may not have forgotten to add it, but rather, was still in the process of finishing it. Where is the indication of wanting to transclude? In addition, since it's a self-nomination, the user is supposed to add it themselves. Thanks. Acalamari 17:18, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree here 10lb. Where did Martin say he wanted that transcluded? He doesn't even have a nom statement written yet. Without evidence that Martin greenlighted you to "transclude for him", I recommend getting rid of it ASAP out of fairness to the candidate. I know of several "bluelink" rfa's that are not transcluded (and may never be). Keeper | 76 | what's in a name? 17:26, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe you did it in bad faith. It's just that self-nominations really should be added by the candidate, and I think that it would have been wiser to have asked the candidate if they knew how to transclude the RfA rather that to go ahead and transclude it. Since the user's RfA is being heavily opposed, it looks like they'll end up with a snowball RfA that could have been avoided. Acalamari 17:29, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've told Martin that I would delete the page if he so wishes... I don't think a premature RfA that might not have been intended to go live should count against the candidate in the future.---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 17:34, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Allegations of apartheid deletion notification

Some time ago, you participated in a deletion discussion concerning Allegations of Israeli apartheid. I thought you might like to know that the parent article, Allegations of apartheid, was recently nominated for deletion. Given that many of the issues that have been raised are essentially the same as those on the article on which you commented earlier, you may have a view on whether Allegations of apartheid should be kept or deleted. If you wish to contribute to the discussion, please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Allegations of apartheid (fifth nomination). -- ChrisO (talk) 18:05, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Category:Croatian-Australian_Socceroos has come up for deletion at CfD. As this category was created as a result of this AfD, which you participated in, I thought you might have an opinion on this debate as well. This is a blanket notice that is being sent out to everyone who participated in that AfD. Lankiveil (speak to me) 03:21, 13 July 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Randy Travis discography

I was going by Joel Whitburn's Top Country Songs, which listed the song as being from Tammy Wynette's Best Loved Hits.
